We’re incredibly excited to be hosting our Maia CMCJ & Hand Surgery Cadaveric Course at Brighton and Sussex Medical School on 11th February 2025. It’s a privilege to welcome such an esteemed Faculty of Duncan Avis, Alex Nicholls, Simon Bellringer, Lisa Leonard and Chris Williams for what promises to be a dynamic and hands-on day of surgical education.
The course will explore the MAIA CMCJ replacement in depth, from indications and supporting literature to surgical technique, with expert-led cadaveric demonstrations and delegate lab sessions throughout the day. We also have a specialist session on wrist trauma, using the Geminus distal radius and ulna system, led by Simon Bellringer and the team at the Level 1 Trauma Unit at Sussex University Hospital.
There will be a dedicated L3D osteotomy planning session, which will offer valuable insights into digital planning, surgical precision and custom implants.
In the afternoon, delegates will have the opportunity to observe and practice advanced techniques using Digitalis PIP/MCP, Threaded Hand Nails, Reduct DIPJ Fusion, and Implate wrist arthrodesis, offering a fantastic chance to gain practical experience with cutting-edge tools and approaches.
We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Brighton for a day of learning, collaboration, and surgical innovation
